Work with us / In Context™

Good work.
A life outside it.

You care about the people you support.
The place you work should care about you, too.

In Context is built by clinicians who understand the pressure of a full caseload, billable targets and the work that carries on between appointments. We want to build a place where doing your job well is sustainable.

We know the work

We’ve held the caseload.
And led the team.

Our founder is a mental health occupational therapist who has worked as a clinician, team leader and manager.

She understands wanting to do right by your clients, support your team and meet the expectations of a business. She also understands that there are only so many hours in a day.

That experience shapes how we build In Context: clear expectations, room to ask for help and respect for the life you have outside work.

You can be ambitious about your career and still want to finish work with something left for yourself.

What that means in practice

Support you can
put your finger on.

KPIs in context.

We understand why targets exist. We also understand that appointments are only part of a clinician’s day.

Workload discussions include case complexity, documentation, travel, supervision and any leadership responsibilities. If the work changes, we review what is realistic within the time available.

A clear role.
Boundaries that hold.

We have measures in place to avoid role creep: a defined scope, clear responsibilities and a conversation about capacity when additional work is proposed.

Taking on something new means agreeing what changes, what takes priority and what support is needed. Being capable should not mean becoming responsible for everything.

Structured supervision.

Clear supervision arrangements, with an agreed schedule and purpose. Space for clinical reasoning, complex cases, reflection and professional development.

Clinical supervision and operational check ins have distinct purposes. You should know who to go to for support and how to raise a concern between scheduled sessions.

Room for life outside work.

Work life balance needs to be reflected in how work is organised. We discuss hours, availability and working arrangements openly, alongside the requirements of the role.

Your responsibilities, interests and time outside work matter. So does being able to say when the workload is becoming too much.

Your career, in context

Bring your experience.
Stay curious.

There is more than one way to contribute to healthcare.

Our work spans clinical care through Health In Context, workplace health through Work In Context, and navigation through Systems In Context. We welcome people who care about good practice, enjoy thinking things through and value working alongside other disciplines.

We are growing, and there is room to contribute ideas. Development should be intentional, with the scope, time and support agreed as your role evolves.

Whatever your discipline, age or career stage, we would like to hear what good work looks like for you.
