About In Context™

Mental health.
With the whole person in view.

Founded by a mental health occupational therapist.

In Context brings a mental health focus to care, everyday life and work. We take time to understand your circumstances, what matters to you and the support that could fit.

Our founder story

Understanding starts
with context.

In Context was founded by a mental health occupational therapist who believes that care should make sense in the life of the person receiving it.

Mental health is connected to the things we do each day: getting started, managing responsibilities, connecting with people, working, resting and making time for what matters. A diagnosis alone does not tell that whole story.

This is the thinking behind In Context. We consider your mental health alongside your strengths, routines, relationships, environment and the services around you. Together, we explore what is making life difficult and what support or change may be useful.

Our question is simple: what matters to you, and what would help in your context?

People behind the care

Clinical thinking.
Human connection.

Mental health sits at the heart of In Context.

Our services bring together mental health occupational therapy, counselling, psychology and mental health social work, with practitioner involvement and availability confirmed for each person.

Our navigators and support team help make the next steps clearer. Whether you reach us directly, through a GP practice or through work, we start by listening to you.

Technology supports access and communication. Professional judgement, consent and personal relationships guide the care.

One understanding. Three divisions.

Different contexts.
A shared purpose.

Systems In Context

When no one is coordinating the whole situation. People can be left chasing referrals, funding and multiple providers. We map the services and schemes involved, clarify who needs to act and coordinate the next steps.

Work In Context

When work demands are becoming difficult to manage. Employers may see falling performance or rising sick leave without understanding why. We examine tasks, workload and working conditions, then identify practical changes and appropriate support.

Health In Context

When mental health difficulties disrupt everyday life. Mental health difficulties and burnout can affect work, routines and independence. We tailor clinical support to the activities a person needs and wants to do, and the circumstances they live in.

Healthcare foundations

Qualified people.
Clear responsibilities.

Quality, ethical practice and professional accountability shape how we work.

Our staff hold current AHPRA registration or the relevant professional registration, accreditation or membership for their discipline. Registration and professional body membership are different credentials.

We explain the service scope, practitioner role, consent and fees before support begins. Clinical services, workplace advice and navigation each have their own boundaries.
